An International Travelling Scholarship Programme between the Society for Vascular Surgery and the European Society for Vascular Surgery to support and exchange of vascular surgical trainees (one or two trainees from each continent, depending on the standard of applications received) to travel between the USA and Europe for further training. Each scholar will receive an appropriate amount of funding to be used exclusively for travel, housing and related cost.
Application must include: Curriculum Vitae; outline of planned programme of study with clear aims and objectives; details of the principal institution; letters of support from the host institution and the recipient institution; a detailed budget of expenses. The successful candidates must arrange and execute travel within one year of selection. The announcement of winning scolars will be made at the annual meeting of the SVS and the ESVS in June and September respectively. |

Selection will be by open competition. To apply for this prestigious grant, the following requirements must be in place:
Candidates from Europe must be junior members of the Society. The eligibility period is 2 years prior to completion of training through to 1 year following completion Candidates should preferably visit one principal centre but may travel to o thers for additional experience. Applicants must make their own arrangements for the itinerary. The period of travel must not be shorter than six months, nor longer than one year. |
